Rate a Food Store....duh?
Livin' on the Northwest side of Merryland...Murderland...ummm Maryland, I have had the ocassion to shop at most if not all of the chain food store offerings. Really have some mixed reviews here folks...her goes:
GIANT...three in our area, of those the New Town store is newer, larger and generally better stocked - especially the meats...of late there have been some brain farts as to opening up registers "the express line aint what it used to be", I reckon a lot of folks are multi taskin' - but how hard is it to put a can of peas in the canned pea section - and at checkout the scanner and computer does the work - the human merely sorts out the payment...overall probably the better chain store in this area...St. Thomas Square store and Offutt Road store are okay
SAFEWAY...stores are smaller and the meats are not as "pretty", but the prices are reasonable, again there are problemos with the checkout and customer service here, but I will say the Garrison Forest store has improved tremendously
FOOD LION...Marriottsville store and Lakeside in our area...no registers are open to cover up to 15 customers...don't buy meats here...for not so quick emergency stuff they suffice...the Marriottsville store can be dangerous at night
No WEGMANS near - gotta go to Timonium
SUPER FRESH - not in the area
MARTINS has redone the Eldersburg store - I will check this one for quality very soon
Folks be picky - don't settle for status quo...use the coupons make stops and jumps -you'll save...I have...STANKASS OUT
