Sad Day at the Preakness
Folks I was workin' out at the Preakness when that majestic horse Barbaro badly injured himself. The place went silent. But I gotta wonder - were the folks silent because the horse was very badly injured - or - because a lot of 6-5 5-6 exactas or 6 horse to win bets were lost?
I was amazed at the rude folks who attended - I'm not talking about the drunks either. Seems as though some of our "folks of privilege" believed that because they travelled x amount of miles they were entitled. I'll leave it there for you to swallow - cuz the folks workin' there really sucked it in from the prima donas.
Glad I'm not a race nut. This one sure soured me on the stuff.
